Only high quality components, circuit breakers and wiring
Our installations are fully compliant, and we always include disconnect fuses, changeover switches, dedicated solar distribution boards and new circuit breakers of the correct ratings

We know good quality solar systems are not cheap, and you do get what you pay for. There are also a lot of "cheap" installers that cut corners and sell equipment that is prone to failure.

We do however realise that a solar system needs to be cost effective and meet the needs of different types of customers.

We have partnered with selected brands that provide good value installations of high quality.

The below "pre-selected" example options will give you a good indication of what we install for most of our residential clients and the typical all-in costs, which we can further customise to your specific requirements.

All our indicative prices are fully inclusive (including VAT). Please do confirm latest pricing, as pricing do change from time to time.

The matrix shows estimates of how much you need to spend to achieve certain target monthly savings on your electricity bill. There of course many benefits other than just saving on electricity, such as having backup power, but this table gives a good feel on cost for households of different sizes. (The payback period for the below systems to cover the original cost is typically 5-7 years. Thereafter you are making money.)

This is a good battery backup option if you want to start with a good backup system only, while still allowing future expandability into a full solar system. This provides a backup power type system that keeps the lights (and much more!) on during load shedding. We specifically choose to use a strong 48 volt inverter with a built in solar charge controller, which means you can easily add solar panels cost effectively when you are ready to expand into a full system. The battery storage is also big enough, even for medium households.

5KW BACKUP POWER STARTER EXPANDABLE SYSTEM (NO SOLAR PANELS) -

ALL INCLUSIVE PRICE: R54,000

Notes:

The 5 Kilowatt hours of backup power will provide more than 10 hours at a continuous draw of 400 watts.
We also welcome using other premium (or more budget) inverters in all our quotations, such as Victron, Growatt and Luxpower. Choosing another inverter brand will impact the price estimates.

5KW BACKUP POWER STARTER FULL SOLAR INTEGRATED SYSTEM (WITH SOLAR PANELS) -

ALL INCLUSIVE PRICE: R89,000

This is the same as the backup system, but now includes 4x 550 watt solar panels fully installed. This allows you to generate your own power, as well as never be without power as long as there is sunshine.

This starter full system is a good balance between capability and cost, and should be sufficient for most small and medium sized households who want to have a good backup power system and save a portion of their monthly Eskom bill.

Notes:

The 5 Kilowatt hours of backup power will provide more than 10 hours at a continuous draw of 400 watts.
The 4 high quality solar panels will generate about 2000 watts at peak sun.

5KW BACKUP POWER BIGGER BATTERY PLUS MEDIUM SOLAR INTEGRATED SYSTEM (WITH SOLAR PANELS) -

ALL INCLUSIVE PRICE: R133,000

This is the same as the backup system, but now includes 12x 350 watt solar panels fully installed. This allows you to generate your own power, as well as never be without power as long as there is sunshine.

This medium system is a good balance between capability and cost, and should be sufficient for most medium sized households who want to have a good backup power system and save a portion of their monthly Eskom bill.

Notes:

The 10 Kilowatt hours of backup power will provide more than 35 hours at a continuous draw of 400 watts.
The 8 high quality solar panels will generate about 4000 watts at peak sun.

8KW BACKUP POWER BIGGER BATTERY PLUS SOLAR INTEGRATED SYSTEM (WITH SOLAR PANELS) -

ALL INCLUSIVE PRICE: R145,000

This upgrades the previous system to a larger inverter and more solar panels. This is our recommended option if you can afford it.

A medium to larger household will be able to put most loads through this system, have lots of backup power and save a large portion of their monthly electricity costs. The extra cost is well justified for what you get in return.

The 10 Kilowatt hours of backup power will provide more than 35 hours at a continuous draw of 400 watts.
The 8 high quality solar panels will generate more than 4000 watts at peak sun.

12KW 3-PHASE FULL SOLAR LARGE SYSTEM -

ALL INCLUSIVE PRICE: R210,000

This option uses a 12 Kilowatt 3-phase inverter. It also comes with a larger 20 Kilowatt hours battery, and increase the solar panels to 14 large Wattage panels.

A medium household could be off-grid with this system, and a larger household largely independent from Eskom.

Notes:

The 20 Kilowatt hours of backup power will provide more than 50 hours at a continuous draw of 400 watts.
The 14 high quality solar panels will generate approximately 7,000 watts at peak sun.

The above are popular residential options, but we do provide customised (and larger installation) quotations if these options are not suitable to your needs. We can adjust the above options where required.

*Please note, we are able to issue an electrical compliance certificate after our install, but only if your other electrical work is also compliant. If it is not, we would happily quote on the required work if you do whish to obtain a Certificate of Compliance.
